Andrew Peterson concert next Friday
I’m bummed we won’t make this concert, but thought any of you out there should have the chance if you didn’t already know about it. The information below is from my good friend, Jason. I haven’t seen Andrew in concert yet, but would like to after listening to his music using the really cool online Pandora radio service. Anyway, here’s Jason.
Please forward to anyone you think may be interested!
Northbrook and Cedar Valley Bible Church have partnered to bring Andrew Peterson to town for a concert at Cedar Valley Bible Church on Friday, October 8th. I am the event sponsor and am hoping a number of you will want to attend. Andrew is one of Pam and my favorite artists. He and other members of the Square Peg Alliance are a group of artists who have joined together to promote each other in the absence of a record label. He is coming with two other talented musicians. The music will not be loud, and the lyrics will be easy to understand. That is the point of the concert – personal stories from the songs he’ll sing and what God has taught him. Thought provoking poetry and story-telling set to music by talented writers and musicians. You can watch a music video for a song from his newest album here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Gs3fg_WsEg (note: The two musicians playing with him in the video are the 2 that are coming with him to play this concert).
Feel free to listen to samples of his music on his website "www.andrew-peterson.com" or anything else you find on youtube. Tickets can be purchased from Pam and I (I’ll have some on me at work over the next week and half) or via the instructions on Northbrook’s website (www.northbrookbc.org). They are only $10 each. You will not be disappointed if you come!
Also – tickets will be available for cash/check at the door the night of the concert – I cannot guarantee a seat if you choose to wait until then however. Please come join us!
Jason
If you make it, have fun! And, I’d like to hear what you thought.
