Yes, I was quite surprised how much I liked the Tourist. I think it was such a great plot that it would have done well without the star power. I agree with your opinion on True Grit, but Matt Damon's character cracked up. I have never seen him play a role like that.

Hi Jeff, I also read "Heaven is for Real" last summer, and it really touched my heart. I feel that the story coming from a "Child of God" made it believable. I too tend to sway away from people with near death experiences. Because this was a child and the way he described it, it has to be true (at least to me). Heaven is now something that will be the biggest reward in my life. I also need to be devoting my time to living how Jesus did. Praise be to our Lord! Plus, the fact that I won't need to wear glasses in Heaven was also in my thoughts. :-)

Here's a good one. Watch 2001 Space Oddessey (1969) and explain the ending. They are in Jupiter and the pilot is dying and the time monolith is at the foot of the bed. I realize this monolith marks important points in time, but....? The fetus at the end? Did that mean the earth was destroyed and new life was beginning? I hope you can find this movie. All I have is the VHS. Dana and Ed are coming home for the long weekend on Memorial Day. I'm sure D will be in touch with T. All the best, the Dober's

Thanks for the movie reviews, though now I don't know what I'm gonna do this afternoon (inside joke there). I liked Salt a lot too...better than The Double. Still haven't seen The Tourist, but I'm not sure I can handle Johnny Depp as a normal guy, so I'll probably skip that one.

I think you should do daily posts anyway, even if it is something mundane, such as: "Today I didn't have my big screen TVs yet so I didn't watch the game."

J says she'll keep getting me. What I don't understand is she isn't afraid of all these things I still have to pay her back for... I keep telling her to just wait for her wedding day. She must figure she knows what pictures to delete sometime when I'm not around.

Ya had me going for awhile! Daily blogs would be great and I would welcome someone telling me how to vote or even coming up with anyone who might put this country back on the right track then I had some suspisions when you went on about Facebook. But when the sports stuff came in I was petty sure I was being had and then when you said you would put the Bible on the back burner, I remembered what day it was! Happy April Fool's Day to you. I'm so glad to have you just the way you are! And for Jeralyn, way to go girlfriend!!!

You know, I intended nothing of the sort, Jake... though T did read it and say something like "Jake's really not going to read your blog anymore." I totally forgot to spend time crafting a post over the week, and this is what came to mind while I was loading up on a bowl full of whip cream and chasing it with a can of Mt. Dew. It's really hard to think straight with that much sugar.

Thanks, Mrs. D :) I got a bit emotional this morning getting ready for church when I realized I forgot to post at midnight like I usually do! I only realized it when J brought me an egg for breakfast, and it looked disgustingly undercooked. I stared more at it and realized it was a peach-half upside-down in a pool of whip cream. She started giggling like crazy as I came to my senses, realizing I totally missed one of my favorite days.
